Blob top bottle, aqua, Embossed with 'Henry Schremm, Fullersburg ILL' on front with anvil, small dign in glass, 6 3/4 " x 2 1/4" dia; $43.00

Henry Schramm immigrated from Germany in 1863 and located in Fullersburg in 1880, locating on York Road near Spring Avenue. He began bottling in 1884, specializing in Birch Beer Soda, but also bottled root beer, ginger ale and mineral waters. He was a prominent bottler of northeastern Illinois especially serving the area between Wheaton , Riverside, Elmhurst and Lemont. He is said to have operated a soda depot in Lyons, Ill around the turn of the century. Although his bottling works is said to have burned in 1905, bottles manufactured for him as late as 1908 are known.
